the pier item was bid out under the fourth amendment to the turner's pier cruise terminal contract. the total project is $1.3 million with $1 million going to a local lbe construction contractor, which is the sacker company which is a subcontractor to power engineering. so, we're really very pleased about that, and this is the project that's been on the books for a very long time and my kudos to everyone involved, which is too many people to mention. thanks, very great view of the bay there. motorcycle parking will be restored by the end of the month, which is something that people are concerned about. and from this hopefully we'll be able to restore the seating area as well. lastly i wanted to report on the grateful americas conference that occurred may 11. pete daly traveled to port commission with willie adams. there was a record attendance of 12,500 participants and the portmanaged, manned i guess is a better word, an exhibit for the couple of days during the conference. metro ports which is our steve adore company, had a boost and we hosted a cocktail reception for our key supp

i didn't identify myself on there, but i have attended all of the public workshops for input on pier 30, 32, and i would ask this commission and the staff to direct everyone who is a negotiating party to when they attend these public meetings to shut up and identify themselves. there was a lot of furor at my table at the latest est session which was quality of life because one of the negotiators of the warriors sat at our table and had input and was very vocal and didn't identify herself with the warriors until the entire thing was over, and people freaked out. i request that there be a rule and enforced on all negotiations, particularly the golden state warriors that in the case the port, owd and particularly the warriors not participate as members of the public, and wear big badges saying who they are because people hide behind anonymity and i know because i of around the block oweb -- i don't know the golden state warriors but the know the port and oweb but i'm unusual and most are true civilians and it's unfair for them to have to argue from a person from one of these groups when

i am a member of the piers 30-32cac. a few comments actually. there was a comment about the volume of material maybe because of the number of cac's i have served on and five years on the planning commission that's part of the job. wait until these people see the eir is all i have to say. that's part of the job and it does take time. takes a lot of time and that's why citizens serve on cac's and commissions such as you are doing because they're willing to put the time in. katie ladel was absolutely correct. the cac so far has been nothing but a public sounding board. we have taken the public so you wouldn't have to here in a way to be very truthful but that should not be its purpose, and it is my hope and i have been talking to katie and others on it at least come january we will start to function as actually advisory group and i think we can do so and i believe we can do so very effectively. there has been a misconception what a fiscal pleasablity study actually is. i know this from the large volume of email conversations i've had as well as a n
